Smoothing natural Template:Ls and Template:Ls increases the Template:Ls. It is done by Template:L with the Template:L Template:L, and it trains the Template:L Template:L. Smoothed floors look like Template:Led floors. Smoothed walls look similar to manually constructed Template:Ls and join neatly with corners, T-junctions and straight bits. A single tile of smoothed rock wall will appear as a free-standing pillar until joined to adjacent walls.
Only smoothed surfaces can be Template:Ld to increase the room's value further, and only smoothed walls can be carved into Template:Ls.
Smoothing an area
- Press d to open the designate menu.
- Press s to select "Smooth Stone".
- Move the cursor to a position on or near a wall or floor and press enter.
- The spot you marked changes to a blinking green "+" indicating where the area you wish to smooth extends from.
- Move the cursor to any position, across the area you wish to smooth and then press enter again.
- The wall and floor tiles in the area you defined will blink with a white regular pattern.
- Wait for a Template:L with the Template:L skill to smooth the Template:L on the walls and floors.
Note
- You cannot smooth Template:L, such as silt, clay, loam, peat or Template:L. However, unlike previous versions, metal Template:L and other Template:L can be smoothed.
- Smoothing a muddy floor will remove the Template:L - it is therefore a bad idea to smooth your Template:L Template:L.
- Smoothing a stone Template:L wall will cause it to stop leaking Template:L.
- If a smoothed floor is muddied, it will remain smooth - however, if/when Template:Ls and/or Template:Ls grow on it, those tiles will become rough stone again.
- Smoothing a Template:L allows Template:Ls to pass over that tile.
- If a Template:L begins digging a tile of stone but does not finish, it cannot later be smoothed.
