Given the setup instructions (pulling the lever twice to initialize it), I presume you tested it and found it to be properly functional. Looking back, this edge detector could have uses in general dwarfputing - since the output pressure plates will take at least 100 ticks to "reset" (once all of the water drains off of them), they could potentially be hooked up to floodgates or bridges to regulate the flow of liquids (or operate other logic gates). --[[User:Quietust|Quietust]] 01:52, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

--Quietust 01:52, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I have a working copy of this in my current fortress. I've been using it in combination with that permanent effect plate also mentioned on my user page, which all works together to control the drawbridges in my fortress. Uristocrat 04:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
I should also mention that the time it takes is pretty close to perfect. Everything seems to trigger at exactly the same time for me: the bridges go back down and the pump stops simultaneously or close enough to it that I can't tell the difference. Uristocrat 04:23, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
