A quick test using GiMP to superimpose the detailed temperature map of my current world over the detailed biome map revealed that the areas with the lowest temperature coincided '''exactly''' with the tundras, glaciers, and taigas. '''EDIT:''' It seems that, no matter how '''gar''' a race is, they will never settle on a tundra biome, though, oddly, they will happily settle near a arctic ocean bordering a tundra. I'm trying to determine which of these biomes are valid for entities - the following are known to be accepted without throwing an error (whether or not they actually work as advertised is untested).

Overlap of tokens?[edit]
I'm working on a mod, and noting that you can set "Any Tropical" and "Any Grassland" (for example) as different settings. Anyone know what that does to the preferences in the game?
