A collection of some of the acronyms used (specifically) in Dwarf Fortress...
(please designate all acronyms bold for ease of reading. Keep definitions short and/or use links whenever possible.)
AG - Above Ground (as opposed to UG, UnderGround) Often refers to crops, but could refer to anything.
AM - Adventure Mode - solo character play in an extended world map.
DF - Dwarf Fortress - the game this wiki is based on.
FM - Fortress Mode - game play with many, perhaps hundreds of dwarfs on a single closed map.
fun - not an acronym, but a euphomism for the extreme or unexpected. Also the inevitable fortress loss.
GCS - Giant Cave Spider
HFS - Hidden Fun Stuff - there are things that happen when dwarves dig too deep...
UG - Underground (as opposed to AG, Above Ground) Often refers to crops, but could refer to anything.
