This article is about an older version of DF. |
Native gold can be smelted directly into Template:L or combined with an Template:L of Template:L to create Template:L. Mining it still leaves a valuable gold floor.
It is possible to make Template:L, Template:L or Template:Ls with Gold nuggets if it's enabled in the z-status stone menu, resulting in quite valuable items, good for export early in the game. It's much easier if you lock in the craftsdwarf with the nuggets.
It can be found as veins in both Template:L and Template:Ls, and as small clusters in Template:L (though none currently exist).
Despite the high value of gold, creating Template:L with it will result in a net profit if the silver ore used is Template:L or Template:L. Using Template:L or Template:L for the process, however, results in neither a gain nor a loss of overall value.
Smelting
Gold nuggets are used to create two types of metal bars at a Template:L:
- Template:L bars
- Template:L bars - with Template:L, Template:L, Template:L, or Template:L
