Hills are a Template:L characterized by moderate rainfall and high drainage.
Hills in DF have more in common with Template:Ls than they do with Template:Ls. They contain one or more Template:L layers. They usually have many Template:Ls and a moderate amount of Template:Ls.
However, hills (even Template:L ones) tend to have little or no wildlife. This is the result of what may be an oversight: there is no Template:L specifically for hills, so the only Template:Ls that appear there are those that appear in a broad category of regions such as ANY_LAND (such as some types of Template:L and the occasional Template:L or Template:L).
