:Cheers I'm glad you like it and am surprised you found this page. I considered this but was worried that the pumps might pressurise the magma forcing it into my fort. I have just realised that there may be a way to power the stack from the bottom without exposing the gears to any magma. The gear could sit under the lowest pump and have only it's top open which would then have a pump blocking it. It might obstruct the magma source tile or reduce the speed the source tile refills but I agree it would look nicer with it hidden. I'll have to think about this after I get some sleep.
