Floor fungus is the yellow one.

Floor fungus is an underground floor-covering fungus, growing natively in the first cavern layer. As it is functionally a grass, grazers may feed on it.

As with the other underground grasses, floor fungus only appears after a cavern containing floor fungus has been discovered. After that has happened, it spreads anywhere underground[Verify] where there is mud.

While it might appear other types of fungi grows from the floor fungus, this is really just that they too grow on the same muddy floor.
