Sterling silver is an alloy of silver and copper. Pure silver is usually considered too soft for craftwork and so it is merged with other metals to improve it strength and durability. Sterling silver, currently v33f has no additional benefits over normal silver other then its value is reduced as crafts and weapons can still be made from pure silver.
