Bauxite is the only stone, apart from adamantine, which is suitable for the construction of mechanisms to be used in floodgates which will come into contact with magma. Unfortunately bauxite can be found only in non-volcanic areas.
Bauxite is the only stone to occasionally contain small clusters of rubies or sapphires.
