Attribute Research
As far as I can tell, there are actually no attributes that are trained by the shearer skill. Brightgalrs (talk) 22:16, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Does anyone know how often an animal can be sheared? Does amount of time between shearings affect wool amount, or is it just a binary "has more wool yet" / "doesn't have more wool yet"? How much wool is produced per shearing (i.e. how much thread can be created from a shearing job?)
- An animal is ready for shearing when its wool is described as extremely long. The wool takes roughly a year to regrow, growing continuously until it reaches "extremely long" length; I haven't tested whether it grows longer after that. You can view animal's description to check how long wool it has, the lengths are following: very short, short, somewhat short, average (no length description), somewhat long, long, very long, extremely long. Amount of wool produced during shearing is affected by animal's size: the bigger animal, the more wool. For llamas, alpacas and sheep it's usually more than 5 pieces per shearing.
