DF2014 Talk:Plump helmet man
Revision as of 17:09, 16 October 2019 by Silverwing235 (talk | contribs)
I noticed today a plump helmet man scholar visited - and they were able to discuss with my dwarven scholars. Does that mean the discussion activity does not check if the subject can talk? - 81.242.224.86 22:32, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- I guess the main purpose of the [CAN_SPEAK] token is to determine if something can speak in adventure mode - I think many fort mode activities simply ignore this token, as humanoids without [CAN_SPEAK] can even gain social skills. - TheCrazyHamsteR (talk) 13:05, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Poking around in the arena with the unaltered stock raws as a control versus a world created explicitly to test that one detail, offers further confirmation that modding in [CAN_SPEAK] is necessary for plump helmet men to function as fully-operational adventurers at all.
