v0.31:Ceramic
This article is about an older version of DF. |
A ceramic is an inorganic, non-metallic solid prepared by the action of heat and subsequent cooling. In Dwarf Fortress, there are 3 types of ceramic materials - Template:L, Template:L, and Template:L.
Ceramic goods are produced at the Template:L using Template:L with either Template:L/Template:L/Template:L/Template:L (earthenware), Template:L (stoneware), or Template:L (porcelain). A Template:L can also be used, in which case no fuel is required.
Uses
Ceramics can be used to make Template:Ls, Template:Ls (labeled as "bricks"), Template:L, and Template:L for beekeeping, all of which can be made of other common materials. Additionally, ceramics are uniquely useful for making jugs (for storing liquids) and large pots (for storing food). Jugs made from earthenware must first be Template:Ld before they can be used to store liquids, while stoneware and porcelain jugs are naturally resistant to water.
For more information on the use of ceramic, see the Template:L page.
