Floor fungus

Floor fungus is the yellow one.

Floor fungus is functionally identical to cave moss and underlichen, differing only in texture.

As with most underground grasses, floor fungus only appears after a cavern containing floor fungus has been discovered. It spreads anywhere there is mud and can potentially be used for Farm plots.

It is mostly harmless and can be used to graze animals, like an underground form of grass. Mushrooms may occasionally grow from the fungus, which can block farm plots until they are mature and ready to be harvested.

You can set up a plant gathering zone to automatically harvest the mushrooms as they grow inside your fortress, to not take up space.
