Currently, magma-safe materials are known to include steel and adamantine, but currently it is impossible to control magma flow with floodgates since mechanisms must be made out of rocks, all of which are non-magma-safe materials.[1]

Calculations

Steel has a melting point of 2710°F, adamantine of 15000°F. According to the raw data files, magma's temperature is somewhere between 2300 and 2500°F.

Other materials that might resist magma:

Metal:

  • Nickel (2600°F)
  • Nickel silver (2600°F)
  • Iron (2680°F)
  • Platinum (3000°F)

Stone:

  • Bauxite (3600°F)
  • Raw adamantine (15000°F)
