Rope reeds are the only surface crop usable for the production of cloth. They also make a passable drink when brewed to make river spirits. You collect them by gathering plants.
To produce rope reed cloth, you must first use the process plants job at a farmer's workshop to spin the plant fibres into thread, which will also produce rope reed seeds for replanting. Once you have produced the thread, it can then be woven into cloth at a loom by anyone with the weaving profession.
