1st Granite 1056

So... Girdertrampled. I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but this certainly wasn't it. When I was told the story of Girdertrampled, I was told of a bustling, successful town. I found the town, but the people...

Oh, there they are. Dozens dead, and none of the survivors seem to care. When I talked to someone about the rest of the town they mentioned something about a nice waterfall. These dwarves are crazy...

The Baroness Consort Zefon, forbid me from exporting any and all toy hammers. I told her that if she wanted some so badly, she could just make some herself. She didn't take that to kindly.

There are 18 dwarves left. This is a decent number to get things going again, or rather it would be if I had some workers. Almost half of the population is either administration or children. Not good.

5th Granite 1056

I have ordered the completion of the half moat that was attached to the creek. I don't know who started it, or why, anyone could just walk around it. Oh well...

Moat:

( I don't know how to upload pictures here from my hard drive. They will be added soon )

12th Slate, Mid-Spring 1056

I finally convinced someone to go and meet with the elves that had showed up about a month ago. I let them sit around, for this whole time thinking that we were going to get them some things to trade. I just took all of their stuff of course, but who cares? They're just elves. They left immediately.

15th Slate, Mid Spring 1056

A wave of immigrants has arrived, along with a Baron and a Dungeon Master. I would almost feel excited, if I had any trapped animals that could be trained, I would be ecstatic. As it is, I don't even have the mechanisms to make all of the stone fall traps that I want, let alone the resources for any useful number of cage traps. I hope he'll pull his weight.

I've checked the logs, so far only three dwarves have arrived and they are all nobles. I'm sure that they will be useful...

18th of Slate 1056

More death. One of the injured miners, and I assume one of the last survivors of whatever hit here before I showed up, has died of thirst. Apparently, no one though that they needed to bring water to a bed ridden dwarf. I'm sure they love their waterfall though. They just had a party near it.
