Machine

Currently, machines are very limited, but can be accessed by build->Machine components.

This menu contains:

Windmills and Water Wheels provide power, everything else takes power to work. Screw pumps may use dwarf labor instead of mechanical power.

Power generators can be chained together using axles to combine power.

Levers can be linked to a gear assembly to disengage the gearbox (and any linked items) from the power source. For example you can switch screw pumps on and off this way.

The millstone workshop (b-w-M) must be built beside a powered gear assembly to function. It can't be powered directly from a horizontal axle.
