:I think you misunderstand the use and purpose of wikis.  People generally only use talk pages when they have a question or criticism about the content of the related page.  The point is to flesh out and perfect information about the topic, not congratulate the writer(s), who will ultimately be anonymous unless people feel like skimming the page history in detail.

:As long as I'm here... I don't have a problem with your demo per se, but it seems rather specific.  It might be more useful to explain the principles behind using cave-ins to pierce an aquifer so people can extrapolate it to as many layers as they need to.  Keep the demo as an example thereof.

I think you misunderstand the use and purpose of wikis. People generally only use talk pages when they have a question or criticism about the content of the related page. The point is to flesh out and perfect information about the topic, not congratulate the writer(s), who will ultimately be anonymous unless people feel like skimming the page history in detail.
As long as I'm here... I don't have a problem with your demo per se, but it seems rather specific. It might be more useful to explain the principles behind using cave-ins to pierce an aquifer so people can extrapolate it to as many layers as they need to. Keep the demo as an example thereof.
