Frames per second, often referred to as FPS, are the amount of game frames that cycle per one second. A higher rate of FPS will have a faster game with time passing faster, feeling as if in a time machine. A slow FPS will feels sluggish, and time will feel as if it is dragging on forever. There are pros and cons to tweaking one's frames per second, but a medium between speed and reliable control should be utilized.
