If the hunter kills other animals on his return journey while defending himself then those animals will not be carried indoors{{verify}}. To avoid wasting them you need to change your general {{k|o}}rders to <tt>Gather refuse from outside</tt> (note that selecting this option may lead to lots of [[fun]]).
