Underworld portals[edit]
Has anyone actually encountered these purple staircases as described on the page? I've hit literal rock bottom on a few spires so far and it always seems to end in just a couple of rectangular rooms with no further way down, underneath the large round halls (which have been consistently underneath the maze of lever-operated prison cells, which in turn often connects with the rooms of the dark fortress proper, and the large troll hangouts/gravesites that I term the bonehoards). --Valos (talk) 03:39, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

- The underworld spire is always somewhere around the middle of a dark fortress. You just need some luck when choosing the right spot. We have already covered the method of embarking in such a place in this discussion. -- DarklingArcher (talk) 11:57, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
