If mules cannot breed, is there an explanation for the presence of Mule foals in my fortress? Extar 17:02, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- Migrants occasionally bring them. While you can't breed horses with donkeys, other civilizations seem to be able to do so just fine (just like milking large animals back in 40d and earlier). --Quietust 17:38, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

- If it was born from the appropriate mother, then that would be interesting. Otherwise, the foal would be just like any normal 'Stray' animal that walks into your fortress when migrants come. --71.180.66.233 03:42, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
