This article is about an older version of DF.

Rope reeds are almost identical to pig tails, collected by gathering plants near a river. They are the only surface crop usable for the production of cloth. They also make an average value booze when brewed into river spirits.

To produce rope reed cloth, you must first use the process plants job at a farmer's workshop to spin the plant fibers into thread. Once you have spun the thread, it can then be woven into cloth at a loom by anyone with the weaving profession.
