A fairly weak creature, a macaque is a small monkey. They generally come in packs of 3-4 to raid your outdoor food storages. They often steal clothing items or small crafts that are laying around outside. Occasionally they are brave enough to actually attack dwarves, but any sign of harm will send them packing.
