The '''mechanics''' labor enables a {{L|dwarf}} to work at a {{L|mechanic's workshop}} to construct {{L|mechanisms}}, construct buildings using said mechanisms ({{L|trap}}s, {{L|lever}}s, and {{L|pressure plate}}s), and performing maintenance on said buildings (loading traps and linking levers/pressure plates to other buildings). Cleaning jammed weapon traps and pulling levers do ''not'' require this labor.

This article is about an older version of DF.

The mechanics labor enables a Template:L to work at a Template:L to construct Template:Ls, construct buildings using said mechanisms (Template:Ls, Template:Ls, and Template:Ls), and performing maintenance on said buildings (loading traps and linking levers/pressure plates to other buildings). Cleaning jammed weapon traps and pulling levers do not require this labor.
