Depression is a symptom developed by [[dwarf|dwarves]] who have progressed beyond the final stage of [[stress]]. A dwarf in this state does not complete any work but they can be retrieved from this state back to the lower levels of stress through happy [[thought|thoughts]]. A dwarf with depression for a long enough time will throw a [[tantrum]] and may eventually go [[insane]].
