Highwoods are a type of above ground tree. They are found only in savage regions. Like the overwhelming majority of overland trees, highwood wood is brown and produces brown products. Highwoods are notable for their thick trunks, commonly measuring 2x2 or 3x3 tiles. Because of this, highwoods yield much more wood than other trees. Despite their name, highwoods don't tend to grow higher than other aboveground trees.

Highwoods are a type of above ground tree. They are found only in savage regions. Like the overwhelming majority of overland trees, highwood wood is brown and produces brown products. Highwoods are notable for their thick trunks, commonly measuring 2x2 or 3x3 tiles and extending upward (up to 12 z-levels) in a tangle of branches and wooden trunk. Highwoods yield much more wood than other trees, and will drop a scattered pile of logs when a single section of its base is cut down.
