Sea monsters are really odd and rare creatures, which appear to look like some sort of horribly mutated giant lobster with tentacles. They cannot move on land unless they're undead, but are still dangerous to your dwarves considering their enourmous size and attack variety. Its near impossible to meet one on adventurer mode unless you swim around on evil oceans, but you'll probably have other things to worry about in such a place, like undead fish.
