Alcohol poisoning[edit]
I added a link to the alcohol poisoning portion of the Alcohol page into the risks section, because the only mention of alcohol poisoning on the page was in the "D for Dwarfy" section that could be mistaken for a simple joke. — Unknown Zombie ★ Talk!≒∁on! 04:28, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
Alcohol / food stocks?[edit]
It might be useful to add whether or not one needs to add booze/food stockpiles to the inn or something similar.
I'd add the information myself but I have no idea... Dutchling (talk) 20:37, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- I've added my observations in this respect, but further confirmation is required.--Peter Salt (talk) 20:54, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
I can confirm that is there is an alcohol stockpile, they do work - Puffin. (14/12/15)
- pretty sure this true for food stockpiles as well, same as in any dining room, and I have been using taverns instead of grand dining rooms for a long time. --77.126.195.129 12:53, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
"I don't work here"[edit]
This 'bug' should be verified by checking the tavern keeper's history to find whether they are the keeper of the tavern you're currently in. Tavern keepers do go out to other taverns to drink, and most often the tavern's actual keeper will also be present to take orders. Rarely will the tavern's keeper also be out for a drink at the same time; more often hostile NPC's will eliminate one, leaving the tavern unmanned. Uzu Bash (talk) 05:30, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
- From the report, it sounds like this is in a tavern from a retired fort that that person created. Presumably they would remember who they assigned as a tavern keeper in that fort. I can check on it myself, though. —Lethosor (talk) 23:54, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- I've verified that the tavern keeper is in the right place and updated the issue on Mantis. —Lethosor (talk) 00:17, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
Broken link[edit]
Why is "petition" displayed as a red link? Typing it in the search bar redirects to citizenship just fine. – Doorkeeper 19:40, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- Nevermind the question, I found out after examining it more. Clicking the link will direct it to the page "DF2014:Petition", which doesn't exist. Moving "Petition" to "DF2014:Petition" should solve it. There's the problem of "Petition" being left as a redirect after the move, however. – Doorkeeper 20:04, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- I just created DF2014:Petition instead. – Doorkeeper 20:11, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
Goblin taverns[edit]
I generate some goblin worlds. In Legends Mode I found taverns. But how it looks in other game modes? Are goblin taverns exist in other modes?
Tavern floor space?[edit]
In the Temple article, it states that Temples "...require an empty floor space (called dance floor) with a minimum surface of 25 tiles, the same as taverns ...". Yet no hint of such requirement is remotely mentioned to in this article. Which is correct? Did some info get dropped? Albedo (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
Reasons not to use Tavern as Dining room[edit]
Somebody added "although there are reasons to not do so" to the sentence "Because taverns serve all the same purposes as dining halls (and then some), there is no reason why you can't have them be one and the same." However, they didn't provide any reason. Does anyone know what they might have meant?
Also, does this sentence mean just not needing to have any other dining room? Or having overlapping rooms?
