Alder is one of the many genera of trees found above ground. A deciduous tree, it sheds leaves in Autumn. Like the vast majority of above ground trees, alder wood is brown and produces brown products.
The wood from this tree, is also the third lightest wood in the game, but is limited to a single biome. The Cedar tree is second with a wood density of 380, but grows in Coniferous forests. The first is none other then the Feather tree with a supreme wood density of 100, and grows in good regions.
