This article is about an older version of DF. |
Bismuth is a metal smelted from bismuthinite. Bismuth bars can normally only be used to make the alloy bismuth bronze (although moody dwarves can apparently construct most any artifact out of bismuth). Before you have an unfortunate accident resulting from a mandate to make bismuth items, note that such a mandate can be fulfilled by smelting bismuthinite into bismuth bars, which technically count as 'items'.
- 1x Bismuth bar + 1x Tin bar + 2x Copper bar = 4x Bismuth bronze bar
bismuth itself is brittle, but you can alloy it with tin/copper to make a light-colored bronze
