Vials are used to make extracts. Clear glass vials are also needed to build an alchemist's laboratory. Metal vials are called flasks.

Three vials are made at the glass furnace by a glassmaker from one sand bag, and three flasks are made at the metalsmith's forge from one metal bar by a metal crafter.
