Red spinach is an aboveground crop found in any biome except mountains, glaciers, and tundras. Gathered wild plants can be processed at a Farmer's workshop to produce seeds and leaves. Seeds can be sown in all seasons, the leaves are edible raw or cooked, and seeds when cooked. However, because only the leaves are harvested from farms[Verify], new seeds cannot be produced and so red spinach cannot easily be grown domestically in a fortress.
