One of the possible creatures that will attack your dwarves if you discover glowing pits in Fortress Mode. This creature is the most dangerous of the the three 'lesser' demons. It is literally made of fire, and thus will burn just about anything it comes into contact with, even shooting fireballs at hapless dwarves. Spirits of fire cannot feel pain or bleed to death, and are immune to traps like all demons. Their only real weakness is that their limbs sever instead of breaking.
