A murky pool is an evil, foul map tile, that cannot be removed. Upon visiting a new site, you will find many pools of water dotted around, or at least one. Though they might look pretty, and you may have find a use for the water in the pools, the tiles that lay below are infact a terrible scar on the land that are difficult to remove. Once drained, murky pools cannot be dug out or into. Channel designations cannot be placed on top of murky water tiles, and they cannot be dug up into from beneath.

There are two known ways to remove murky pools:

  1. Dig underneath the murky pool, then dig a channel around the edge so that the pool tiles are connected to nothing. The tiles will collapse in a pile of rubble, job done.
  2. Drain the pool and build floors on the murky tiles. When removed, the murky pool tiles will be gone. (Leaving silty clay loam or some such).
