Rope reeds are almost identical to Template:L, but grow more slowly (by 3:5). They are the only surface Template:L usable for the production of Template:L. They also make an average value Template:L when Template:L into Template:L. You may be able to collect them by Template:L near a Template:L or Template:L, and you might also be able to trade for the plants or seeds from a (non-dwarven) caravan, especially an elvish one.
To produce rope reed Template:L, you must first use the Template:L job at a Template:L to spin the plant fibers into Template:L, which will also produce rope reed Template:L for replanting. Once you have spun the Template:L, it can then be woven into Template:L at a Template:L by anyone with the Template:L profession.
