Wikipedia article

Bismuth is a metal smelted from bismuthinite. Bismuth cannot be used to make goods, only bismuth bronze bars. Before you have an unfortunate accident resulting from a mandate to make bismuth items, note that such a mandate can be fulfilled by smelting bismuthinite into bismuth bars, which technically count as 'items'.
