This article is about an older version of DF.

Once the economy has activated, dwarves that are underemployed may request a meeting with your Manager to complain about the lack of work. These complaints will be subsequently relayed to the Mayor.

The following guilds exist:

At the beginning of each season, the Mayor will respond to the 3 guilds which made the most requests by either raising the guild's wages to 150% for the next season or by making a mandate "that certain jobs be completed". If more than 3 guilds have made requests during one season, their requests will be ignored.

Unlike in previous versions, ignoring guild requests has no noticeable effect on gameplay - there are no individual guild leaders which would receive happy or unhappy thoughts (these may instead go to the Manager), and work slowdowns no longer happen.
