Native copper is one of the three ores that can be smelted directly into copper, and can also be combined with other ores to create five different alloys. Native copper is found as veins in sandstone and in all igneous extrusive layers.
Smelting[edit]
Copper Nuggets can be used to make a wide range of metal bars at a smelter:
- Copper bars
- Brass - with sphalerite
- Bronze bars - with cassiterite
- Trifle pewter - with 2 cassiterite
- Fine pewter - with 3 cassiterite
- Billon - with native silver, horn silver, galena, or tetrahedrite
