Felsite is one of the types of stone that forms entire layers.

It is identical in all ways to 2 of the other 4 igneous extrusive stones: andesite and rhyolite (basalt contains sunstones, and obsidian has its own special properties).

"Felsite" is also the name of the third month of the dwarven calendar, covering late Spring.
