Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.

Billon is an alloy of equal parts Template:L and Template:L. Historically, this was used to mint coins, but without modding the game's object files, billon coins will have no function in the Template:L.

Two billon bars can be made at a Template:L from 1 chunk of silver Template:L and 1 of copper ore, or 1 silver Template:L and 1 copper bar. Two units of Template:L count as 1 copper and 1 silver ore, and will yield two bars of billon. This last recipe will only be used when no other silver ores like silver or Template:L are available to the Template:L, otherwise silver nuggets or galena ore will be preferred, the tetrahedrite then acting as copper.

Billon can be used to make furniture and 'other objects' at a Template:L.
