Its unclear whether we should integrate the dino chitin information onto the shell page, or to make a unique dino chitin page, or to have a unique dino chitin section on the skin page. – unsigned comment by DikbutDaGrate
- dino chitin? dinosaurs all have either scales or feathers. if you mean the chitin on prehistoric arthropods from the dino update, then i think it should be on both pages. a separate page could also work --Thecrazybee42 (talk) 11:55, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
- Just my two cents; looking at the raws, all chitin seems to be used as an analogue of skin when defined on creatures and body plans. Dino chitin uses exactly the same body part definition as non-dino chitin. Shell however is both implemented differently as a body part and is an explicitly seperate material and reaction ingredient. I recommend adding dino chitin to this page for now, not least of all because "chitin" already redirects to this page. Alpacalypse (talk) 13:37, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
- Correction: I didn't look at the raws closely enough. Dino chitin seems to be given the [SHELL] tag, meaning it is counted as that material for reactions and can be crafted as if it is shell. The shell page seems more appropriate, along with the related explanation of why duno "chitin" is on the shell page. Alpacalypse (talk) 13:46, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
