Heliodor is considered a semi-precious gem, a light green form of the mineral beryl. It can be found in small clusters within schist, granite, and marble layers. A value of 20, though only half that of the dark green emerald found in the same environments, makes it a worthwhile decoration for trade goods and furniture belonging to nobles.
