The Champion is a noble position appointed by the player to a dwarf. The chosen dwarf can be freely replaced. This position has no room requirements and the dwarf selected needs no special skills or qualifications. Despite having the same name, it has no connection to the military profession from previous versions.
Other dwarves who talk to the Champion will get a special thought about "talking to a pillar of society", with the happiness bonus or penalty depending on the dwarf's liberalism.
Due to a bug, the Champion can never actually be appointed.Bug:3453
