Muskoxen are available as Template:Ls on embark and may also accompany your Template:L to your fortress as wagon haulers. They may occasionally be found in the wild in Adventure Mode, where they are mildly belligerent and rather dangerous, capable of shattering Template:Ls in a single hit. Template:L use them as transport Template:Ls.
