A Desert is a very dry Template:L. Deserts can be found in all Template:Ls , but are mostly common to very hot areas. Only very few Template:L and plants are able to grow in this barren lands. Camels are very common to this kind of biome and provide an exellent Template:L source (whether Template:L or Template:L humps). Template:L can be found in deserts.
Template:L may be the only way to build a fortress on deserts, unless you are gifted with flowing water of some sort, or lots of murky pools. Template:L.
Desert is the umbrella term for the three types of deserts you will find in Dwarf Fortress.
