Grossular is a calcium-aluminium mineral of the garnet gem group with the formula Ca3Al2(SiO4)3 though the calcium may in part be replaced by ferrous iron and the aluminium by ferric iron. [1]
Like most semi-precious stones, they make good trade goods once cut, or highly valuable upgraded furniture that nobles are sure to appreciate.
