v50 Steam/Premium information for editors

I had over 50 pop but didn't get a mayor until appointing a sheriff. As soon as I unpaused, the sheriff promoted to captain and the expedition leader was replaced. Uzu Bash (talk) 18:47, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

- Haven't tested this in the latest release, but in most of the 0.40 versions, you'll immediately get a mayor if you have 50+ beards and change any position on the nobles' screen. Otherwise you have to wait until the next regular election (17 Hematite, usually in early Winter, too).--Larix (talk) 00:35, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Population requirement?[edit]
Do you need 50 citizens to get a mayor? I.E. If my fortress has more than 50 long-term residents but less than 50 actual citizens, do I get no mayor?
