This article is about an older version of DF.

Stones which are classified as flux materials can be used in the creation of pig iron and steel at a smelter.

Note that blocks made out of flux materials cannot be used in the production of pig iron or steel.

Limestone is the only flux stone, and it can be found both lining the cave river and in small pockets strewn throughout the mountain.
